This Spanish group of islands lies in the Mediterranean Sea about 100 miles off the coast and are very familiar to European charter guests. The Balearic Islands have been a stopping point fro sailors for thousands of years and meld the various cultures from Africa to Greece to Spain.

Arid and mountainous, with numerous anchorages & coves along with historic towns makes this the perfect choice for a ‘no stress’ yacht charter. Numerous small villages are well worth visiting for their charm and cuisine. . A yacht charter in this area combines modern comforts with a relaxed and easy going pace.

Fabulous food based on the grapes and olives that are locally grown are all part of the charter experience. Plus shopping for the well know Mallorcan pearls – lustrous and dark is lots of fun.

There are only a relatively small number of yachts under 150’ available in Spanish waters due to local tax law. Two great power yacht options are Leigh and Alcor are based in Spain. Their crews know this area well – from deserted beaches accessible only by boat to the nightlife of Palma and dancing until dawn. Whatever you prefer, you’ll find it in the Balearics!
